Douglas B. Johnson

Douglas Johnson is an artist based in Providence, RI. He earned an MFA at Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts in New York. Douglas’s work consists primarily of painting, but includes computer based art and design projects. His work is represented internationally in both public and private collections and has been curated by Robert Storr, Laura Dvorkin, and others.

Doug’s work has recently been shown at Governors Island, NYC, Olive Tjaden Gallery at Cornell University, Woods Gerry Gallery at Rhode Island School of Design, Point of Contact Gallery in NY, and sUgAR Gallery. Douglas currently teaches at RISD, the Art and Art History Department at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts and has taught at the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, NY
